Procedure for Cancellation and Surrender of DDA Flats and Documents Required

If you are one of the lucky winners of the Draw for Housing Scheme 2017 and if you are planning to surrender the DDA flat then this article lists the complete procedure of the cancellation and withdrawal of the application. This time DDA has made it clear that only the genuine buyers must apply for the scheme and in addition to this, the rules for the cancellation has been modified by the Authority.

Cancellation Charge

As per the brochure, if the applicant is willing to surrender the flat then the applicant will forfeit the registration amount and in addition to this, there were reports that the DDA might put a 5 year lock in period on the resale of the flat but in a recent notification, DDA said that there is no such lock in period.

However, if the applicant is planning to withdraw between the date of thedraw but before the issue of allotment letter then 25% of the application money will be forfeited whereas, from the date of allotment till 90 days, 50% of the application money will be forfeited. Any surrender made after this will lead to complete loss of application fee.

Documents Required

Here is the list of documents required for the cancellation or surrender of the DDA Flat

  • Allotment and Demand letter issued by DDA is required as a primary document
  • Address proof is also required if you have moved your home after filing the application.
  • Photocopy of the passbook is also required if there is any sort of change in bank particulars.

These are the only documents required for the cancellation and you need to approach the DDA office at INA for the cancellation or surrender of the flat. You will have to submit the application to DDA’s office and the amount will then be refunded to your account.

Submit all the documents, then you will get a Acknowledgment . If you will submit before 15th December there is no cancellation charges, after that 25 % amount will deduct. I already did today.

      3. Hello Amit hi, after issue demand cum allotment letter by DDA, within 15 days no any charges made by DDA. DDA Housing scheme 2017 till date no any D.CA.L issued by DDA. So all registration amount would like to be refunded.

        When you get received demand cum allotment letter by DDA authority of allotment flat, then within 15 days no any charges made by DDA. In HOUSING SCHEME 2017 no any demand cum allotment letter issued by DDA till date. So all registration amount would be refunded.

      1. From 15th to 30th Dec, 2017 10%of the application money will be deducted and there after 50% and then 100%.
        You need to hand over the surrender application along with cancelled cheque, pan card, Aadhar card, and receipt of application form at D block DDA Vikas Sadan, INA DELHI… from 1030 to 1230 and then 1400 hrs till 1730 hrs.

      A.TheThe allottee must submit the request for cancellation and refund amount along with the following documents either by post with letter addressed to respective DD (LIG/Janta/MIG) or submit at counter 4 D block DDA VikasSadan

      (i) Original demand-cum-allotment letter.

      (ii) Original Acknowledgment slip of the application form.

      (iii) NOC of the Bank through which the registration money was financed otherwise copy of bank pass book through which the registration money was deposited.

      (iv) CrossedCheque of the Bank account of the allottee in which refund is sought.

      (v) Proof of residence in case there is change of address as given in the application form.

Try to go before 12pm.. if you need to wait less for your surrendering the allotment.. also try to avoid 1230 to 1400 hrs as it’s their lunch timings.. window 4 and 5 D block will be okay..you will get printed confirmation receipt along with the details of your application number and documents submitted.. staff at the window say the refund will be given in Jan2018

    One has to visit INA Vikas Sadan D Block with acknolwement slip, Aadhar card, PAN card and cancel cheque of the same bank which you used to make the payment.

    There is no online procedure. Submit the surrender application at DDA Vikas Sadan, D Block, Counter 4.
    Following documents are required at the time of cancelation or surrender:
    Canceled Cheque

    I have made the surrender request of my flat after three days of the draw and get the acknowledement slip from the DDA. However, Today on 17th Feb I received the Demand Letter from the DDA. I don’t know why DDA send me the demand letter, As i already made the surrender request.
